Lisa Kent's practice concentrates on both residential and commercial real estate as well as on serving the needs of small businesses.   She founded her own firm in 2001, recognizing the need for specialized counsel with the highest level of service among Connecticut's individuals and small businesses.

Prior to practicing on her own, Ms. Kent was an associate for 10 years with Goldstein & Peck, PC, representing banks in a variety of commercial transactions including commercial lending, SBA loans, collections and foreclosures. Clients included People's Bank, Hubco and Newtown Savings Bank.   Ms. Kent has also served as in-house counsel for The Bank Mart until its takeover by the FDIC, managing the collections and foreclosure departments during a very difficult lending period.   Ms. Kent then went to work for FDIC where she negotiated work outs and managed secured loans in bankruptcy.

In addition to her legal practice, Ms. Kent was a mortgage broker with Threshold Mortgage. She believes this experience gives her a unique and well-rounded perspective in negotiating real estate transactions.

Ms. Kent earned her law degree from Quinnipiac Law School with honors, and her undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania, cum laude. She is admitted to practice in Connecticut, and is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association and the Fairfield County Regional Bar Association.
